    日前杜拜港之主要港區為拉希德港區(Port Rashid)以及吉貝阿里港區(Jebel Ali Port),其中西拉德港(Port Rashid)將改建成國際觀光港口,所有有關貨櫃之業務將逐漸轉移至吉貝阿里港(Jebel Ali Port)。溯及杜拜港之歷史源頭,可從1958年前任邦長拉希德(Rashid) 開始展開一系列之開發計畫說起,諸如計畫拓寬玻斯灣運河、興建第一個杜拜港口、開發世界最大之人工港等。1972年拉希德港(Port Rashid)完工,1976年杜拜開始著手興建世界第大之人工港──吉貝阿里港(Jebel Ali Port),並於1979年竣工。1985年成立吉貝阿里自由貿易港區( Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority, JAFZA),日前已吸引來自世界各地6,500家廠商進駐於此。

二、港區設備與設施

    吉貝阿里港(Jebel Ali Terminal)之港區主要可劃分為貨櫃碼頭區(Container Terminal)、一般散雜貨區/滾裝碼頭區(General Cargo& Ro-Ro)、貨櫃集散站(Container Freight Station)、冷藏區(Cool Store)以及油輪碼頭區(Tank Terminal)。

四、靠泊之航線術以及其服務之航商數

 

    目前杜拜港之靠泊航線數多達170條,每周有90班定期之服務航線,其中全球前二十大貨櫃航商皆於此設置服務據點,貨櫃航商依序排名為APM-Maersk、Mediterranean Shg Co、CMA CGM Group、Evergreen Line、COSCO Container L.、Hapag-Lloyd、Hanjin Shipping、APL、CSCL、MOL、OOCL、NYK Line、Hamburg Süd Group、Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp、K Line、Hyundai M.M.、Zim、PIL、UASC、CSAV Group。

六、未來展望

 

    杜拜地處波斯灣暨阿曼灣間,與沙烏地阿拉伯、卡達及阿曼邊界緊鄰並位居歐亞非三大中洲間,先天之地理優勢使杜拜成為中東市場之輻射軸心。杜拜港係為全球第二大港,為因應船舶大型化之趨勢,杜拜港於2011年宣布在2014年底前將原先之一般散雜貨碼頭改建為一新貨櫃碼頭,該碼頭將配置最大、最高效率之起重機且吃水高達17公尺,使其有能力處理未來世界最大之貨櫃船。此外,為提升杜拜港之競爭力,杜拜政府決議於2007年在吉貝阿里自由貿易區中(Jebel Ali Free Zone, JAFZ)開設杜拜物流城(Dubai Logistics City, DLC),除提供顧客深層之加值服務外,亦憑藉鄰近吉貝阿里國際機場(Jebel Ali International AirPort, JXB)、馬可通國際機場(Al Maktoum International Airport)以及吉貝阿里港(Jebel Ali Port)之優勢,提供更加多元、優質之服務。

In a major step towards mitigating the environmental impact of its operations, global marine terminal operatorDP World has successfully electrified eight diesel powered Rubber Tyred Gantry (RTG) cranes at its flagship Jebel Ali Port. 

Cavotec handed over the project to DP World recently at a ceremony attended by Mohammed Sharaf, Group Chief Executive Officer, DP World, and Mohammed Al Muallem, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, DP World, UAE Region, and other senior officials from DP World and Cavotec. 

Mohammed Sharaf, Group Chief Executive Officer, DP World, said:“ Congratulations to DP World, UAE Region on this initiative, which is part of DP World’s global efforts to promote sustainability and care for the environment. One of our key objectives is to integrate responsible business practices into our daily activities, thus growing our business in a sustainable manner.”(我們的主要目標之一是將日常活動與商業實踐相結合,並以永續發展的方式增長我們的業務) 

Mohammed Al Muallem, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, DP World, UAE Region, said: “Care for the environment is a cornerstone of our Corporate Responsibility program focused on the UAE community. (愛護環境一直都是我們企業責任之基石) Electrification of the giant cranes that drive our container handling operations at Jebel Ali is one of the most significant steps we have taken in that direction. Jebel Ali Container Terminals are equipped with a total of 78 quay cranes to cater to the world’s largest container vessels, 60 electrical Rail Mounted Gantry (RMG) cranes and 123 Rubber Tyred Gantry (RTG) cranes.

 

This year, DP World added one million TEU (twenty foot equivalent container units) to take capacity at the port to 15 million TEU, extending its Container Terminal 2 quay wall by 400 metres to 3,000 metres. This allows for the simultaneous handling of six mega ships.

Together with Container Terminal 3, now under construction and scheduled to open in 2014, Jebel Ali Port’s capacity will reach 19 million TEU and will be able to handle 10 of the giant new generation ultra large container ships (ULCS) at the same time – the only port in the region with this capability.
